Can I find a specialist using the Online Provider Directory?

Yes. The Online Provider Directory includes participating specialists. Please know that you should always verify a provider is participating in our network before receiving services. You can do this by verifying with your health care provider if he/she is participating in the UnitedHealthcare network prior to receiving services. If you need assistance locating a health care provider, please contact customer service by calling the toll free number printed on your Medical ID Card or call the number listed in your enrollment materials.

To receive the highest level of coverage for services provided by a specialist, some benefit plans might require you to obtain a referral from your primary physician before receiving services. Please review your enrollment material, or call Customer Service for more information.
